Unless you’ve been under a rock for the last few months you can’t fail to be aware of the unstoppable force that is ITV’s The X-Factor. Love it or hate it some good may just be about to come out of it.
This years X-Factor finalists have recorded a version of Michael Jackson’s ‘You are not alone‘ in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. A campaign which Emily at Brits in Bosnia is championing.
Great Ormond Street Hospital’s staff strive constantly to improve the lives of some of the sickest children in the UK, many of whom would not survive without it. In order to offer this amazing life saving, world class service Great Ormond Street Hospital needs to raise a staggering 50 million pounds a year in order rebuild, refurbish, equip, research, support families and treat children.
If you watched Sunday’s X-Factor you will have seen Oscar’s Story. Oscar overcame the odds in his battle with leukaemia with the help of Great Ormond Street Hospital. In order to save the lives of many more children like Oscar, Great Ormond Street needs to raise vital funds.
You can do your bit by downloading or buying the X-Factor single here from the approved retailers. Or if you don’t want to buy the single you can donate direct to Great Ormond Street here.
Even if you are not an X-Factor fan, this alliance is no doubt raising the profile of a cause worthy of attention. Please give what you can. It may just help save a child’s life.
Thanks for listening.

Great cause, hopefully a single you can bear to listen to cos it's going to be Christmas no 1. What a thought – Jedward making millions (hopefully) for charity. Might just get me watching X-factor again. Thanks for making me aware of the single.
I love to see mums putting their blogs to good use! This a good cause and clever of them to tie it into X-factor.
GOSH is such a brilliant cause, thanks so much for supporting it. x
