There has been chatter around the blogosphere of late about the etiquette and ease of commenting on blogs. Some people are frustrated with having to log in to comment, some hate Blogger’s Captcha anti spam word verification facility, in fact it seems that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution to pleasing all the readers all the time.
Linda Jones wrote an interesting post called ‘Ten reasons I don’t comment on your blog‘. One of her points was about responding to comments.
Now, as a Blogger user I find it a constant source of frustration that the in built comment system does not allow me to reply individually to your comments. I’d like to be able to interact with you all much more effectively than the basic system allows.
In the past I’ve tried Disqus and quickly uninstalled it, then tried JSKit Echo as it was Comment Luv enabled but the cheeky swines started charging for it and Comment Luv withdrew their support so that got ditched too.
I’ve noticed that quite a few blogs like SingleParentDad and Bringing Up Charlie are now using IntenseDebate. I quite like the look and feel of this commenting system with the added benefit that it now comes Comment Luv enabled.
So, for now at least, I have a new commenting system.
I’d love to hear your feedback on which system you prefer and why as it’s you my lovely readers that have to be able to navigate my blog easily!

coming to this rather late – the commenting feature was one of the reasons i went with wordpress (although as a bit of a creative type I get frustrated by lack of choice in backgrounds there – so its not all win) aside from that i don't know much about it – except that i sometimes get over typing words into boxes to prove i'm real when the blogger will verify me anyway and the question of do you get to choose the words that are typed because I was on a blog that had quite a few posts about "gay lifestyle" and the words i was required to type were words related to said lifestyle with one extra letter…suspicion abounds
