There’s a brilliant blogger out there in this ever expanding blogoshere whose blog I regularly pop in on and admire. Her posts are always beautifully written and the photographs she takes are of a standard I can only aspire to.
Recently this lovely blogger has opened up a new blog on which she posts ‘gratitude lists’. Each one a stunning photo over typed with things she is thankful for that day, however small or insignificant they may seem.
This really struck a chord with me. It’s sometimes so easy to get bogged down in life and be overwhelmed by the seemingly mundane. Instead of trudging through days blindfolded I’ve been inspired to stop, take a breath and really look and listen to what is going on around me all the time.
Where I was beginning to feel like a passenger in my own life, I’ve been able to open my eyes and once again realise that you can find beauty, tranquility, calm and joy in the simplest and most ordinary of things.
I’d like to thank her for inspiring me, and maybe if you look hard enough you might find this wonderful Treasure too.

I have to sgree, somehow when looking for the good, you fail to see the bad!!
I meant to start doing gratitude lists but haven't got round to it, this could be the spur I need, thank you! Gorgeous pics at both blogs
Ooh maybe we should have a monthly gratitude blog-in.
I definately need to do this.
It's such a simple lesson, isn't it? To occasionally take a step back and BREATHE! But so hard to do. Thank you for the reminder. Things to enjoy today: Beautiful blue skies, son's funny joke on the way to nursery (it involved a tractor slipping on mud, so not that funny, but so sweet that he's making 'jokes'), the leak finally being fixed in our bathroom so that I can once again have a nice long soak. Goodness, that's not bad before midday!
Thank you for the lovely comments IM! I purposely haven't been putting Treasure out there because….well, hmmm…if you're meant to find it then you will.
How fab that you're inspired to be more mindful! Yay!
And angelsandurchins – not bad for a morning!
Here's hoping you all find lots to be grateful about.

I love the idea of gratitute lists. We should all do one, and remind ourselves of it regularly. I tend to dwell on what I haven't got when I should look at all the things I have. Thank you x
What inspiring photos over at Carrots and Kids. And I agree with you, we don't spend enough time stopping to be thankful.
A lovely idea – maybe you should start a Things I'm Grateful For meme? I think we could all do with a regular reminder to look above and beyond. x
