Domino’s Pizza

This is a sponsored post.

I’m no Nigella Lawson in the kitchen. For starters she’s a posh brunette bird and I’m a bossy redhead from ooop north. Whilst I do enjoy cooking from scratch most of the time, every now and then I like to indulge in something a bit naughty and let someone do the cooking for me.

So every couple of weeks, on a Friday night when the kids are in bed so they can’t steal our food we put a DVD on, get cosy on the sofa and enjoy a takeaway. Sometimes we have a chinese, occasionally indian but by far and away the husband’s takeaway of choice is to get a pizza delivered from Domino’s.

There’s just something about the humble pizza that makes it the perfect food for sharing. We order pizzas, potato wedges, coleslaw, and if we’re feeling particularly indulgent we occasionally have deliciously divine waffles with chocolate & toffee dipping sauces. Very bad, but so very very goooood!

The husband like his pizza hot and spicy, the more jalepenos the better. Domino’s ‘Meltdown The Revenge’ fits the bill perfectly. I’m a fan of anything barbeque sweet like the Texas Barbeque or I build my own as no pizza is complete for me if it doesn’t have pineapple topping.

There’s always more than enough to share around and then some.

What’s your perfect pizza topping? Go on inspire me!

If you’re thinking of  treating yourself to a pizza why not pop over to Domino’s online and see what their menu has to tickle your fancy!

I go against all girly stereotypes and figure the more meat the better, so it was always meat feast for me! But I’ve recently been swayed by chicken and onions on pizza – yummy yummy. And the domino’s garlicky sauce makes that even better.

I love domino’s. I particularly love their really thin bases – best pizza in town. Is it wrong to want it for breakfast?!?

Oh God, the garlicky sauce! It means I eat all those crusts I’d normally bin!

Love a bit of meat feast myself but just can resist adding pineapple. Pizza just isn’t pizza without it!

When Domino’s opened up here a couple of years ago were were all rather excited (a bit like when we got Channel 4 years after the rest of the country). We ordered a home delivery. It was a huge disappointment. But I think they’ve all given up and earn a big fat “F” for effort from me. Pizza Hut isn’t nut friendly anymore and Pizza Express have forgotten there’s supposed to be tomato (and cheese) on a pizza and serve a sort of charred frisbee thing that wobbles a bit in flight. We are devoid of decent pizza!!!

We only ‘do’ Domino’s when we have money off vouchers as the local pizza dude is way cheaper and offers many more random choices.

We often make our own pizzas using Jamie Oliver’s pizza base recipe. You should try it, always decent pizza and with whatever topping you choose!

Oh and the Channel 4 thing? I remember the day we got it back in the 80′s. We had a huge old brown Baird TV that had a shiny unused ’4′ button just waiting to be used. Seems like an age ago now!

I even have pineapple on burgers. I obviously have some sort of odd pineapple fetish and need pineapple rehab!

I LOVE Domino’s! It was actually my Valentine’s Day meal of choice this year – and I always go for the veggie supreme. YUM.
And extra dipping sauce (sour cream and chive flavour is the only one that hits the spot).
