Another delayed ‘Hot or not?’. I could do with a Time Lord to find me an extra four hours a day!
Last week George Clarke, Channel 4′s ‘Restoration Man’, left quite a few of you on the on the fence. He can come round to mine and draw me up some plans anytime!
This week is a double whammy of hot or notness (yes I made that word up). These two bright young things are the current stars of one of the BBC’s best loved shows. It’s seen lots of regeneration over the decades, originally running from 1963 to 1989, with it extremely successful revival in 2005.
Shall we find out who this Lord and his companion are?
Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, hot or not?
As the new faces of the all new series of Doctor Who (BBC 1, Saturday, 6pm) I reckon they’re both hot.
It was always going to be a tough job for Matt Smith to step into an extremely popular David Tennant’s shoes as The Doctor, but within a few minutes of his first appearance he’d won the approval of Doctor Who fans everywhere. He’s brought a new lease fo life to the Eleventh Doctor with a well received injection of youth and exuberance.
As for Karen Gillan, this virtual unknown has brought Doctor Who’s companion bang up to date. Like a 21st century Alice in Wonderland, and not always one to do exactly as she’s told, Karen’s character, Amy Pond, is certainly ready to challenge The Doctor! Oh, and she’s a redhead, which in my (biased) book, totally rocks!
It’s not my call though, you decide…..

Mmmm not sure. Before he started I thought definitely NOT but now I love him as Doctor Who. A kind of trendy geek, which is my favourite type of man. Maybe a bit young to be hot though.
She is gorgeous though and has a lovely lilting Scottish accent.

I don’t actually watch Dr Who, I must confess! But he doesn’t do a thing for me I’m afraid – just too young – a definite NOT!
But his sidekick is beautiful – she is definitely HOT!

Now is there any surprise whatsoever in me saying HOT to this?? But he’s more of a grower, when I first saw him I did wonder what the hell Steven Moffatt was thinking and he could never replace DT in my affections

Not sure about Matt Smith as it’s not my area o expertise, but he is a damn good Dr though.
Karen Gillan on the other hand may well be tho most attractive woman on the face of the planet. Blimey!

I don’t watch Dr Who, I’m sure he’s charismatic enough but he needs to eat more pies. Not hot. She’ is hot though in an unthreatening friendly way. Double whammy of hot or notness – like it.

Ok, his face looks like I could bruise myself on all those skinny bits, so I dread to think what the rest of him is like. Quite sure I’d snap him in half if he were in my sack. *shudder*

Still unsure about him as the Dr-just not feelin it yet. And he’s far too skinny for cuddling. A NOT I’m afraid.
She, on the other hand, has red hair and freckles and a Scottish accent. What’s not to love? HOT.
OK, well there is no doubting that Karen is gorgeous but there’s something about her that I don’t like……..oh yes, probably that she’s so gorgeous !!!

I hate Dr Who but have to tolerate it in a house full of Tardis-lovers. I have no idea what people saw in the past two Doctors, they were tortoise-y looking. The current one is better but definitely not HOT. I don’t think I could find any Dr Who attractive, all that fannying around with screwdrivers is very offputting. She is Hot though, and a vast improvement on Billie and that awful Tate woman.
I will admit where Matt Smith is concerned, I initially judged a book by its cover. I thought there was no way he could fill Tennant’s shoes especially since he didn’t LOOK like Tennant. How shallow am I? But he has indeed exceeded my expectations and I like him more than I would have ever anticipated. I think he’s doing a superb job and I really think he has brought his own unique qualities to Doctor Who. I predict he will be looked upon as a fan favorite in years to come. Still, I would never consider him to be hot. I’m not even sure I cold go as far as to say he is attractive. In fact, I think he looks a little bit like a young Frankenstein. Yikes! I know that’s mean, but he does. It’s the shape of his head and the deep sunken eyes. I’m sorry.
On the other hand, his sidekick has got it going on! I really like Gillian and if I were a guy, I would totally think she is hot!

I am going to say Hot, but it is hard because the new Dr actually looks a little like my Baby Boy and so that is wrong!

When I initially saw Matt Smith advertised as the next Dr I wasn’t impressed. However, after 5 minutes I liked him and think he’s doing a fab job!
