It’s back!
After a short break, ‘Hot or not?’ has returned! Yay!
Last time Matt Smith & Karen Gillan (aka The Doctor & Amy Pond) were definitely in receipt of a split vote, with the hot vote falling most certianly on Ms Gillan’s time travelling shoulders. I can’t say I disagree, she is rather stunning!
This weeks ‘Hot or not?’ is yet another double offering. This duo are central to the story in a very soon to be ending (sob sob) BBC Drama. He’s the politically incorrect chalk to her perceptive and sassy cheese. But what does the end hold for them?
Keeley Hawes and Philip Glenister, hot or not?
I think it’s fair to say that Philip Glenister has made Gene Hunt a national institution. Throw in Keeley Hawes as Alex Drake and together they’ve made Ashes to Ashes one of the most enthralling dramas on British TV.
I’ll be sad to see them go so, for me, as actors they are hot!
It’s not my call though, you decide…..

I once had a dream about Gene. It was saucy and based during his time in Life on Mars, so we were both wearing flares. I admit it made me look at him with new eyes for a short time, but I’d have to say NOT to both. Ms Hawes is lightly irritating and no replacement for John Simm.

I do have terrible soft spot for the Gene Genie, so I would have to say HOT. Completely not my normal type and he would probably rile me terrible if I ever met him. But there’s just a fantasy element to him – and he has some great lines.
Not a fan of Keeley Hawes I must admit – although I wouldn’t mind having her legs/figure/eyes/pretty much everything else. Alex Drake as a character also irritated me immensely to begin with – not a patch on Sam Tyler. She has grown on me a little recently though.

I would agree with organicmummy, Gene Hunt is a real man. Non of this namby pampy metrosexual palaver! He’s HOT, she’s pretty but annoying.
In Life on Mars I loved Gene. Ashes to Ashes, or at least this series, just isn’t doing it for me at all… that said, having missed the last three episodes in the move (still got no telly) I’ll be getting the box set… But as for hot or not? Well, not, really. Sorry guys.

What is going on here? Gene is HOT. No doubt about it. Not even up for discussion. She, on the other hand, is irritating, an appauling actress (do you remember her in Spooks? We were all grateful for the day of her departure) and generally awful. Gene – hello baby. Alex – it’s a pity the bullet didn’t put us all out of our misery in the first place.
