I’m Ellie, a 30 something mum of two beautiful little people, Big E aged 5 & Little E aged 2½, and wife to my long suffering husband, Mr H.

We live in the UK, somewhere in Yorkshire.

I am loving being a second time mum, although no-one told me it’d be this much like hard work. They’re worth every sleepless night!

After returning back to work, part time, after maternity leave I’m learning how to find some much sought after balance.

I’m an ‘experimental’ cook, a Jamie Oliver fan, and partial to a bit of late night baking, to fill the sleepless hours! I love reading but don’t get much chance, which is probably a good thing as I currently have the concentration span of a potato.

I’m Twitter addicted, Facebook happy, and an all round social media butterfly.

I used to paint in a former life when I was an art student (my favourite artist is Degas), and am a self confessed, snap happy non photographer. There has to be a gem hiding somewhere in those 10,000 photos, right?

We like a bit of competition in our house and, much to his annoyance, I thrash Mr H at most games on the XBox Kinect, and occasionally enjoy torturing the neighbours with a few Abba songs on SingStar.

I’m an XBox Family Ambassador, a Lego Duplo Expert, an ‘On the Go’ Mummy Blogger for Three UK and an official Tesco Mum of the Year Blogger.

I’m a moderator on a parenting forum, previously an assistant editor on The Great Toy Guide, and have written articles on both MumsRock and The BMB Blog.

This blog is somewhere for me to release the random thoughts that go through my head in an attempt to clear my mind a little, have a bit of fun, and also a diary to share with my children and family.

I’m hoping, one day, that I might get a good nights sleep……please?
