Almost Wordless Wednesday – Picture Perfect Meme

by Ellie on October 28, 2009

OK, so lets face it, my Wordless Wednesday is hardly wordless Not even close. More Wordy Wednesday than anything else as it happens. In a lazy ingenious attempt to kill two birds with one stone I’m splicing this week’s together with a great meme for you you (see what I did there?).

Tara, her of Sticky Fingers fame, tagged me (about a decade ago) in her Picture Perfect Meme. The simple rules are:

* Ask your child (regardless of age) to draw a picture of you.
* Post it on your blog.
* Tag others if it floats your boat.

My boisterous son, Big E is just two weeks shy of his 3rd birthday and loves anything that involves getting messy using his easel, crayons, chalks and paints. He’s also partial to a bit of aquadraw and would fashion characters from Mr Potato Head all day were he not so often distracted by Kung Fu Panda.

Since I asked him to draw me he seems to have become rather obsessed with the notion. So much so that I couldn’t just include one of his offerings.

I like to think this one is an abstract representation of the state of my mind.

This one captures my newly coiffured hair.

Crafted lovingly from psychedelic plastic, in Big E’s mind I have a trunk (!!).

In this offering I have five legs and appear to have been electrocuted.

In this one I’m skipping, which of course I do all the time?

So to recap, Big E sees me as an electrocuted, short haired, five legged elephant with a skipping rope and an untidy mind.

Nothing unusual there then.

I’d like to see the offspring of the following bloggers totally embarrass create beautiful portraits of their parents:

Very Bored Housewife
Weston-super-Mum
Flower Fairies and Fairy Cakes
Hot Cross Mum
The Potty Diaries
All that comes with it
Sleep is for the weak

No photoshopping the results now…..

hilarious!
I am very impressed at his enthusiasm, not 1 but 5 portraits. I would be lucky to get one in total from both of mine!

I love the Picasso-esk first chalk drawing, you could enter it for the Royal Academy….
