I’ve been tagged. No it didn’t hurt, in fact I quite enjoyed it!
Laura at ‘Are we nearly there yet mummy?‘ tagged me in Tara at ‘Sticky Fingers‘ Favourite Photo Meme. Quite simply all I had to do was pick my favourite photo and post it here on my little blog and talk about why it’s my favourite.
This was no simple task. I have thousands of photographs. I love taking pictures and could spend days perusing old albums given half a chance.
I’ve been swapping and changing my choice all day. I have so many favourites it was beginning to become impossible to choose.
But this photo? This one I love.
This picture was taken in February 2009. Big E was 2 years and 2 months old and I was about 26 weeks pregnant. I’d spent months torturing myself over whether I could love another baby as much as I loved my baby boy. How could it be possible to feel so overwhelmingly in love with another child? How could I divide my love?
And then it struck me, my love wouldn’t be divided or diluted, it would be multiplied. My heart would grow big enough to love however many children I had.
This picture reminds me of coming to that understanding, and the realisation that my baby boy wasn’t a baby any longer.
His baby face was rapidly changing into that of a boisterous and adventurous toddler. We’d just moved him out of his cot bed into a ‘big boy’s bed’ and he was loving the feeling of being grown up.
I do not have the words to explain how much I love my little boy!
I’d like the following bloggers to share their favourite photos too:
I hope you all enjoy having a trip down memory lane as much as I did!
