I’m drawn to the sea.
There’s nothing relaxes me more than listening to the constant ripple of waves rolling in and crashing onto the shore. It relaxes me from the outside in. It washes away the constant buzz inside my brain, and gives me an inner calm.
In fading light, as I looked out of my hotel room window on Monday evening, I watched surfers waiting to catch their next wave in The South Bay at Scarborough. Just them and the ocean. Watching, waiting, listening, shifting with the tides. So serene. So beautiful.
